Dinner Date with Gammy

Jason had to work late tonight, so Ella, Max and I went on a date with Gammy (my mom). We went to Ella's absolute favorite place....Ted's!! It was so YUMMY!

Here's Ella enjoying her favorite item at Ted's...tortillas! She pretty much makes a meal out of them!

Max is snacking on a little tortilla bite too...looks like he's enjoying it!

Gammy, Ella and Max....with full tummies! Thank you Gammy!!

Easter Fun

We had such a great day! Jason didn't have to work, so it was the first full day that we have spent as a family in over a month...that's just too long! We went to church this morning and then to Gammy and Pa's house for lunch and egg hunting!

Ella and I dyed eggs last night. It was Ella's first time to dye eggs and she didn't understand why we couldn't just throw the eggs into the cups....she is so funny! Needless to say, a couple of the eggs were cracked by the time it was all said and done.

The finished products!

Ella and Courtlynn at church this morning. Court always does a really cheesy smile for pics! She's hilarious!
We had about 60 eggs and Ella was the only one hunting! There were eggs everywhere! Ella was definitely a little overwhelmed at first. After she picked up the first egg and put it in her basket, she decided the rest were too yucky (because they were on the ground) and decided to just play on the swingset instead.

We finally convinced her to take a break from the swingset and find more eggs! Look at all of them!

Ella's cheering section!

Max found a couple of eggs too!

Enjoying his loot!

We are so grateful that we were able to spend this day together as a family and with those that we love! Happy Easter!

Our Little Traveler

It's official! Max is crawling! He started last Saturday...he was extremely slow and wobbly at first, but he's got it figured out now.

Here is he crawling through the door of his playhouse that Grandpa and Memaw bought him for Christmas. He loves this toy!

Not only did he start crawling this week, but he also started pulling himself up onto his knees. Wouldn't you know one of the first places that he wants to go is the TV!

Sitting under the table and messing with sissy's radio! He's already attracted to all of the "no-no's!" It is amazing how quickly these 8 months have gone by! Sweet little Max brings so much joy to our lives!

Taking It Easy

It's been a quiet week around the Whitlock house....well, as quiet as it can be with two little munchkins! We have spent a lot of time in our pajamas this week, just having fun at home.

Ready....set.....crawl! Max is so close to crawling! I think he's going to be a little more traditional and use his hands and knees, instead of "bear crawling" like his big sister did.

Mr. Hollywood! Ella insisted that Max wear these sunglasses last night...he doesn't look too sure about it!

Urban cowgirl! Ella loves to wear hats right now. She is riding the horse that Nanny and PaPa (Jason's parents) bought her for Christmas....she named him Mario.

Howdy partner! She loves for me to take pics of her making silly faces or doing funny things...I can never just get a smile. She's so funny!

It's All About the Crumb-Snatchers!

A few of our friends have blogs and they have inspired me to try it out! Special thanks to my very creative friend Laura who helped make the title so stinking cute! I love being a mom....so what better thing to blog about than my two sweet kiddos! Here are a few pics from our fun-filled week.

Ella and Jack at Sesame Street Live. They had so much fun! Any time these two get together it is quite entertaining.

Ella painting a "very beautiful treasure chest" (those are her words) at Jack's Pirate Party. Happy 3rd birthday Jack!!

Max is ready to get his grub on!

Our sweet little thumb-sucker! He is quite content with his blankie and his thumb. Precious!!
